Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at an acute care hospital in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment.

• 44-bed Medical Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
\n
• Night shift schedule, 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6
\n
• CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio
\n
• Telemetry monitoring available, though monitored by a separate unit
\n
• Floating required to other acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
\n
• EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required)
\n
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active GA or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience required
\n
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
\n
• Driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) to be eligible for placement
\n

• Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
\n
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
\n
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
\n
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be disclosed and confirmed at the start of the assignment
\n
• First-time travelers are not eligible — at least one prior travel assignment is required
