Job Summary 

We are seeking a passionate and licensed Lead Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate is client-focused, skilled in a variety of techniques, and dedicated to providing a safe, effective, and positive experience. This role involves customizing treatments to client needs, promoting wellness, and supporting a clean and professional spa environment. 

Responsibilities 

• Design specific treatment plans based on the client's individual needs.
• Create an excellent experience for members/guests through a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Support achievement of individual scorecards and spa performance goals, including service add-ons, client retention, rebooking, and retail product sales.
• Responsible for regular check-ins and sharing monthly scorecard metrics
• Generate new clientele by promoting member referrals and memberships.
• Help maintain cleanliness in treatment rooms and shared spaces by completing defined tasks as needed
• Ensure proper stock of all necessary supplies in treatment rooms
• Always remain professional when conducting services for clients, as well as working with other team members.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as applicable to ensure readiness, security, and proper setup/cleanup of work areas.
• Required to perform weekly room walkthroughs to ensure all equipment is functional and maintained.
• Assist in evaluating performance targets and providing feedback as needed.
• Support continuing education efforts by leading CE activities through Hand and Stone LMS.
• Help ensure all Massage Therapists (MTs) are punctual and fulfilling job responsibilities.
• Provide informal coaching to peers and escalate ongoing concerns to the manager when necessary.
• Conduct New Hire training and any necessary retraining.
• All necessary training documents must be filled out appropriately
• Responsible for spot checking SOAP notes at a minimum of 2 clients per therapist per week
• May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned

Requirements 

• Current state license in massage therapy
• Liability insurance coverage
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Swedish massage is required
• Experience or interest in additional modalities (e.g., Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Myofascial, Neuromuscular, Craniosacral, Reiki) is a plus — training is provided!

Education & Experience 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited massage therapy program
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Current state licensure and/or certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist
