Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility or progressive care environment
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• EPIC Systems experience required (electronic medical record / EMR proficiency)
• Ability to float to all similar units as needed; adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality progressive care unit nursing and patient-centered care for complex telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor and assess patients with acute and complex medical needs using telemetry and bedside assessment skills
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC (EMR) and maintain regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and unit staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform medication administration, advanced assessments, and response to rapid changes in patient condition
• Float to similar units (Step-down, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical) as required by facility staffing needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and facility-specific protocols
