Job Description
We are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support enterprise IT infrastructure, server operations, and cloud-based environments within a complex and mission-focused organization. This role is responsible for managing Windows and Linux systems, virtualized environments, enterprise applications, and cloud-hosted infrastructure while ensuring system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems administration, server technologies, cloud environments, and enterprise IT operations, with the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems across enterprise environments
- Manage server technologies, virtual machine infrastructure, and storage platforms
- Configure, deploy, and support servers and applications within Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) environments
- Support Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) systems, utility applications, and security tools
- Monitor system performance and ensure operational availability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with network engineers, system developers, and technical teams to support infrastructure requirements and system integrations
- Analyze technical requirements and assess the impact of infrastructure changes across operating environments
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security requirements, and configuration management processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, and implementation activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational guides
- Track project requirements, system changes, and operational activities
- Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve system performance and operational effectiveness
- Support multi-system and multi-application environments, including operating systems, storage technologies, databases, email systems, and hardware platforms
- Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
- Experience administering Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems
- Experience managing server technologies, virtual machines, and enterprise storage environments
- Experience supporting Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) systems and security applications
- Experience deploying and managing systems within Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) environments
- Experience working within complex, multi-disciplinary IT environments
- Understanding of network infrastructure and system dependencies across operating environments
- Knowledge of system configuration standards, security controls, and software management procedures
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with project planning, execution, and requirements tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience partnering with developers and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and support project planning
- Experience working with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
