PrideStaff partners with leading Central Oregon employers. We’re hiring an entry-level warehouse professional to support a certified zero-waste wood products supply facility in Prineville, OR. A day in this roleYou start by receiving inbound lumber and wood materials—unloading trucks, verifying counts, and staging product. As orders come in, you accurately pick, pack, and prepare shipments so customers receive the right items on time. Throughout the day, you keep aisles clear, the warehouse clean, and safety front-and-center with proper PPE and lifting techniques. You’ll spot-check boards and panels for defects, flag issues, and record any discrepancies during inventory counts and reconciliations. Clear, timely communication with supervisors and teammates keeps inventory levels, order status, and operational updates flowing. When needed, you pitch in with general upkeep and help load or unload delivery trucks.
What you’ll do- Receive, unload, and process incoming wood products and materials
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders with accuracy
- Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory
- Inspect products and report quality issues or defects
- Maintain a safe, organized warehouse; follow OSHA guidelines and wear required PPE
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Support general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
- Use proper lifting and handling techniques for heavy materials
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding inventory, orders, and any operational concerns
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with wood products/lumber terminology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
- Team mindset, clear communicator, reliable and punctual
- Basic math skills for counts and order processing
- Comfort in a fast-paced setting; adaptable to shifting priorities
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekend shifts as needed
