About the Role
Harcros Chemicals Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting operations. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong grasp of accounting principles, and is committed to delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions on a regular basis
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and ensure timely collection and payment
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with tax filing preparation
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
Analyze financial data and identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support business operations
Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment
Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial modeling
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders
