About this job
Responsibilities:
• Operate and or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect precision parts.
• Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts, First Piece layout, In-process, and Final Inspection.
• Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using standard documentation and procedures.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming products.
• Ensure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable part.
• Inspect parts for nonconformance and follow the non-conforming product procedure.
• Use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models to perform accurate measurements.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Quality experience in aerospace or general manufacturing environment with knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100 is a plus.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations for dimensional measurements.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.
