Job Description
Basic requirements include:
• Ability to float to other departments as needed
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs. repetitively
• Quality checking parts for pass/fail
• Reporting pass/fail part quantities and issuing materials in the ERP system
• Maintaining daily and weekly production goals
• Following all safety requirements, including daily gas cylinder lock-up
• Required PPE: safety glasses, which are provided, and safety shoes
The most important factor for this position is finding someone who understands and is comfortable with very repetitive work. This is not necessarily a hard labor position, but the person will be standing in the same 3–4 foot work area and performing the same motion throughout the day. The task involves placing a metal box into a robotic welder, pressing the button, removing the part, and stacking it. This process is repeated approximately 500–600 times per day.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently while also working near another team member. There are two machines side by side, and product flows from one machine to the other, so the two-person team must maintain the same pace even though they are each working independently.
