Dean of School

Wicomico Day School is seeking a candidate for the position of Dean of School for K4-8th grade. The candidate for this position must have a four-year degree from an accredited college and preferably 5 or more years of teaching experience. The candidate must be able to interact positively with students, staff, parents and community and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preference will be given to candidates with administration or classroom management and discipline experience. Job responsibilities for Dean of School include teacher mentoring, curriculum implementation, supervision of classrooms and teachers, attending parent conferences and IEP meetings, resolving student discipline and behavioral issues, and participating as a member of the administrative team. This includes participating in the planning, coordinating, and supervising student related school activities or events as well as extra-curricular activities that occur outside of the regular school day.
