Position Overview

One of our Partners in North Carolina is seeking Board-Certified OB/GYN physicians for an inpatient OB Hospitalist opportunity at a leading academic referral center.

Compensation Highlights:

• $3,000 per 24-hour shift
• Flexible scheduling
• Approximately 11 shifts per month
• Academic medical center environment
• Top 10% provider compensation compared to similar OB Hospitalist opportunities

This opportunity offers labor and delivery coverage, gynecologic emergency care, NICU support, and the ability to work within one of North Carolina's most comprehensive women's health programs.

• Labor and Delivery coverage
• Emergency Gynecology coverage
• NICU support available
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine support available
• Average inpatient census of 50
• Average 10 admissions per day
• Average 5 admissions per night
• Established practice with 27 physicians and 9 APPs
• Shared call structure with OB/GYN physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives
• HPA Healthcare is Joint Commission-certified
• HPA Healthcare is an active member of NALTO

Job Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery management
• Obstetric triage and evaluation
• Emergency department OB/GYN consultations
• Inpatient gynecology coverage
• Management of obstetric emergencies
• Management of urgent and emergent gynecologic cases
• Cesarean deliveries
• Operative gynecologic procedures
• Inpatient rounding
• Collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
• Collaboration with NICU providers
• Respond to facility codes
• Provide backup coverage for emergency department OB/GYN consults
