Global Turbine Services (GTS) is an FAA/EASA/CAA/NATO-certified engine MRO specializing in CFM56-2/3/5/7, CF6-50/80, and additional commercial and military turbine engine platforms.
Operating from our state-of-the-art engine repair and overhaul facility in Miami, GTS provides complete engine overhaul, module repair, component repair, NDT, special processes, and technical support services to airlines, leasing companies, defense organizations, OEMs, and Tier 1 integrators worldwide.
As GTS continues to expand its engine overhaul capabilities and customer base, we are seeking experienced and highly motivated A&P Mechanics with strong CFM56 engine experience to join our growing team.

Position Summary
The A&P Mechanic – CFM56 Engine Specialist is responsible for performing inspection, disassembly, assembly, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, testing support, and return-to-service activities on commercial turbine engines and engine modules.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while supporting GTS production and delivery objectives.
The successful candidate must possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License and have a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience working with CFM56 engines in an MRO, airline, OEM, military, or engine overhaul environment.
Core Responsibilities
Engine Maintenance & Overhaul
• Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and overhaul of CFM56 engine modules and accessories.

Interpret engine manuals, OEM maintenance documents, service bulletins, engineering orders, and repair instructions.
• Perform dimensional inspections and component evaluations in accordance with approved technical data.
• Support engine teardown, module assembly, and final engine build activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements.
Troubleshooting & Technical Evaluation
• Troubleshoot engine discrepancies and determine corrective actions.
• Identify damaged, worn, or non-conforming components.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production Planning teams.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure all work performed complies with FAA Part 145 requirements.
• Adhere to GTS quality procedures and safety standards.
• Support FAA, EASA, customer, and internal audits.
• Ensure proper handling and traceability of aircraft engine components.
Production Support
• Meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Assist in reducing turnaround times while maintaining quality standards.
• Support customer-driven priorities including AOG, lease return, military, and commercial programs.
• Participate in daily production meetings and workload planning activities.

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Support Lean initiatives and process improvements.
• Assist in mentoring junior mechanics and technicians.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience working on CFM56 engines.
• Experience with engine overhaul, module repair, inspection, and assembly.
• Strong understanding of turbine engine maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering documents.

Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CFM56-2, CFM56-3, CFM56-5, and CFM56-7 platforms.
• Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
• Experience supporting military engine programs.
• Engine run, borescope, vibration analysis, or balancing experience.
• NDT, inspection, or quality control exposure.
• Experience with Quantum Control or similar ERP systems.
