Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Schedule: Evening Shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) or Night Shift (11:00pm–7:30am) with flexible start times for 10-hour shifts. Every other weekend required, plus 1 holiday if it falls within the contract period.

Highlights:

• Work in a dynamic Blood Bank lab supporting transfusion needs for both pediatric and adult patients across specialty services
• Rotate between multiple major hospital sites to gain diverse clinical experience
• Utilize Cerner charting system and perform routine and specialized compatibility testing
• Process approximately 15,000 samples with comprehensive blood bank procedures including ABO/Rh testing, antibody screening and identification, and crossmatching
• Training and orientation provided on day shift for the first two weeks before transitioning to contracted shift
• 13-week travel assignment with opportunities for extending based on eligibility

Requirements:

• ASCP-MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) certification required
• ASCP-BB (Blood Bank) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Blood Bank experience required
• Proficiency in specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, antibody typing (tube method), crossmatching (immediate spin/IgG), electronic crossmatch, and indirect Coombs testing
• Experience with gel testing method, automated equipment, and component modification preferred
• Must be willing to float between multiple hospital locations
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination required
• 2 supervisor references and appropriate state licensure required
