Job Opportunity – Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer – North Carolina

Start Date: July 8, 2026 (subject to confirmation based on orientation schedule availability)

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5:00pm, Friday 7:45am-1:00pm (no call, no float, no weekends)

Highlights:

• Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic specializing in high-risk pregnancy ultrasound imaging
• Scan 10-12 patients per day performing comprehensive anatomical surveys, follow-ups, growth scans, and dopplers
• Work with a collaborative team of 2 physicians, 3 sonographers, 2 medical assistants, and 2 clerical staff
• 6 ultrasound rooms with rotating assignments and central workspace for documentation
• 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation and ongoing support from experienced team members
• EMR documentation in EPIC and ASOB using Samsung HR 9 machines

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required – first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current ARDMS OB/GYN certification and BLS required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound procedures
• Required fetal imaging skills: abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, diaphragm, duodenal atresia/intussusception, fingers/toes, gender determination, head, and heart
• Required OB/GYN skills: 1st-3rd trimester imaging, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, inter/intra-orbital measurements, multiple pregnancy, placenta previa, and umbilical cord doppler
• Required procedural skills: amniocentesis and cervical length/vaginal scans
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• North Carolina or Compact state license
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
