Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Job Description
This full-time, permanent Shipping and Receiving Associate role supports a busy industrial branch in Sulphur, LA. The position focuses on accurately handling incoming and outgoing materials, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining precise inventory records. You will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed correctly, deliveries are handled efficiently, and warehouse operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Verify all incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure accuracy of materials, quantities, and documentation.
- Receive material from vendors into the business system and maintain accurate related records.
- Use RF scanners to scan incoming items, track inventory movement, and update system data.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform inventory management tasks, including regular cycle counts and stock verification.
- Retrieve inventory and prepare orders for shipment, including pallet wrapping and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintain and order department office supplies to support daily operations.
- Process invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide customer service support related to shipping, receiving, and order status as needed.
- Follow established material handling procedures to protect products and maintain a safe work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet shipping and receiving deadlines and service expectations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sulphur, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
