Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Put your pediatric physical therapy expertise into practice working with PreK-12 students for the upcoming school year in a dynamic North Carolina district. This full-time, contract role begins August 10, 2026, and extends until June 1, 2027, offering hands-on involvement and the chance to make a meaningful impact on student mobility and access to learning. While the specific campus assignment is yet to be determined, school locations will remain within a convenient commute of the Huntersville-Concord area. Interviews are being scheduled via Zoom now, with official offers to follow in July.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active North Carolina Physical Therapy license required
- Experience with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- At least one year of pediatric or school-based PT experience preferred
- Adaptable to PreK-12 school environments and collaborative multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and implement physical therapy treatment plans for a diverse student population with varied abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the IEP team to support students’ academic success and physical performance
- Maintain accurate, compliant records per school and state standards (including ECATS)
- Provide education and resources for staff and parents on student physical development
- Contribute to the broader school community through consultative support and direct services
