Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with K-12 students during an engaging summer session in a supportive educational setting near Scranton, PA! This short-term position is perfect for physical therapy professionals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic school environment.
With three openings available, the program runs from June 29th through August 6th and focuses on helping students reach their fullest potential during the Extended School Year (ESY) period. The schedule offers a healthy work-life balance: Tuesday through Thursday, 8:45 am to 12:15 pm—leaving your afternoons and long weekends free.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Pennsylvania
- Prior experience working with school-aged children or within school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to develop and execute individualized therapy plans for diverse K-12 caseloads
- Passion for supporting student growth, independence, and academic success
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct PT services to students according to IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring for ongoing case management
- Collaborate with special education staff and teachers to promote optimal student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Actively contribute to team meetings and parent communications
