Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive medical care within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The physician will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

This position offers a flexible weekday schedule, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations
• Review laboratory, diagnostic, and imaging results
• Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs)
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, therapists, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and quality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient management

QualificationsRequired

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active California Medical License
• Current DEA Registration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred

• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine background
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute, Long-Term Care, Geriatric, or Primary Care experience
• 3+ years of clinical experience
