Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting for the upcoming fall. This contract position is full-time and onsite only, covering a maternity leave from September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026. You will serve K-12 students in an itinerant capacity, traveling across multiple school sites and will not provide virtual services. This is a rewarding chance to support students’ mobility, independence, and physical well-being within a vibrant school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) certification and licensure in Oregon
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable with an itinerant role, managing a caseload across various school sites serving K-12
- Capable of full-time (37.5 hours per week), onsite commitment
- Not open to virtual/remote work—this role requires in-person services
- Must be able to provide contact information for three most recent supervisor references as part of the consideration process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff
- Travel between multiple school sites as part of a dynamic itinerant team
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
