Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a high‑acuity ED that includes Level I and Level II trauma. You will be responsible for rapid triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing care of a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform rapid triage, assessment, and intervention for emergent and urgent patients.
· Initiate and manage IV therapy, administer medications, and monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
· Collaborate with ED physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and improve patient flow.
· Document accurately in the EHR and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
· Maintain a calm, therapeutic environment while de‑escalating patients and families using CPI/MAB principles.
- Participate in code response, trauma activations, and rapid response protocols as needed.
Requirements
· Active, unrestricted California RN license.
· Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI or MAB, NIHSS.
· Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience, including exposure to Level I and Level II trauma patients.
· Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience on structured assignments.
· Strong orientation skills, ability to adapt quickly to new protocols and EHR systems.
· Professional, flexible team player with excellent communication and critical‑thinking skills.
