About the Farmers Retail Opportunity

Farmers Insurance is seeking motivated entrepreneurs and/or those considering business ownership that are interested in building and growing their own insurance agency. The Farmers Retail Program is designed for business-minded individuals with the capital, initiative, and leadership skills needed to operate a branded Farmers agency.

As a Farmers agency owner, you'll have the opportunity to build your own business while receiving support, training, coaching, and access to resources from one of the most recognized names in insurance.

What You'll Do

  • Build, manage, and grow a Farmers Insurance agency
  • Develop and execute a business plan for long-term success
  • Recruit, train, and lead licensed agency staff
  • Sell and service insurance products, including Property, Casualty, Life, and Health
  • Establish a professional, Farmers-branded office location
  • Build relationships within the local community
  • Drive new business production and customer retention

Bonus Opportunities

Eligible agency owners may qualify for:

  • Exterior branding bonus up to $6,000
  • $5,000 signing bonus following full-time appointment
  • Fast Start Bonus based on applicable net new business commissions
  • Monthly bonus opportunities based on qualifying net new business commissions for up to three years

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified candidates should have:
  • Minimum capital requirement of $100,000
  • Abilityto pass a background check
  • Property, Casualty, Life, and Health licenses prior to full-time appointment
  • An approved office location at time of full-time appointment
  • Office fully equipped and compliant with Farmers® brand standards
  • Minimum of two licensed and appointed agency staff members at full-time appointment
  • Strong leadership, sales, and business development skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build a business
