Overview

We currently have an opening for a Radiology Technologist to join our Spokane, WA team. Radiologic technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner.

This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible.

Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.


Responsibilities

  • Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views)
  • Reviews images for diagnostic quality, which includes proper collimation, use of markers, and positioning accuracy
  • Demonstrates age specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to make appropriate adjustments in the care of patients
  • Practice appropriate radiation safety as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations. Practices A.L.A.R.A at all times
  • Observes established policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
  • Documents consistently and accurately in EMR, PACS, and any other areas per facility requirements
  • Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s)
  • Maintains professional credentials as required by ARRT and/or state regulations
  • Demonstrates competent technical skills in the use of imaging equipment, quality control and troubleshooting

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Associate in Radiologic Technology, required

Experience

  • One year pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience, preferred

Certification and Licensures

  • Basic Life Support (BLS), required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required
