Overview
Step into a high-impact travel role as a CT/X-Ray Technologist at Pen Bay Medical Center, part of the MaineHealth system. In this contract position, you’ll use your advanced imaging skills to deliver accurate, timely diagnostics that directly support patient care decisions. Working a 09:00–21:30 day shift schedule (36 guaranteed hours when available), you’ll perform a mix of CT and diagnostic X-ray exams, including angiography and procedures, in a collaborative radiology environment that depends on your expertise and flexibility.
Required Skills
- Current, valid certification as a CT Technologist
- Proven experience performing CT examinations in a hospital or imaging center
- Demonstrated experience with angiography and interventional procedures
- Solid experience with general diagnostic X-ray imaging in addition to CT
- Ability to follow imaging protocols, ensure high-quality images, and minimize radiation exposure
- Proficiency with common imaging equipment and PACS/RIS workflows
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and infection control standards
- Effective communication skills with providers, nurses, and support staff
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (09:00–21:30) as scheduled
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working in a travel, contract, or float imaging role
- Previous experience within a large health system or acute care environment
- Familiarity with multiple CT/X-ray vendors and platforms
- Comfort assisting in high-acuity and fast-paced clinical situations
Preferred Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Prior CT Technologist experience in an inpatient, emergency, or procedural setting
- Additional cross-training in other imaging modalities is a plus
Other Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work as a travel/contract technologist at Pen Bay Medical Center
- Compliance with all facility onboarding, orientation, and health/safety requirements
- Current, valid certifications and licensure as required for practice in the assignment location
