Press Brake set up and operator

Our client in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have set up, operating and dependability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Press Brake Operator 

Location: Grand Haven, MI 

Pay Range: $18+/hr DOE 

 

What’s the Job?

• Set up and operate press brake machines to produce accurate bends according to detailed blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precise fabrication
• Adjust machine settings for different materials, thicknesses, and bend angles to optimize performance
• Perform routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, welding, and assembly tasks

What’s Needed?

• Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to read complex blueprints and utilize GD&T for precise measurements and tolerances
• Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, CNC programming basics, and machine maintenance procedures
• Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, EDM processes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, welding techniques, and assembly is highly desirable
• Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
