Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Correctional Healthcare Partners. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals in correctional facilities, ensuring that mental health needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients in correctional settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness while managing side effects.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care for patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Educate patients and staff about mental health issues and treatment options.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment techniques and treatment modalities.
- Experience working in correctional healthcare or similar environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
