Position Summary:

The Patient Care Technicians role in the Emergency Department is a dual one. The Patient Care Technician functions as both a clerical employee and as a patient care provider under the supervision of the RN staff. The Patient Care Technicians patient care role is task orientated.

Qualifications:

Prefer 1-2 years patient care experience. Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant training and knowledge, EMT or Equivalent education preferred.

Work experience requiring positive interaction with patients, families and public. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Bilingual-Spanish Preferred.

RequiresCurrent American Heart Association BLS certification.
