Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring chemotherapy certification and experience with chest tubes in a specialized oncology/surgical unit.
Details
- Work in a 12-bed inpatient unit specializing in Oncology, Thoracic, and Bariatric surgery
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Typical patient ratio of 1:4, may increase to 1:5 depending on acuity
- Rotating holiday and weekend coverage required (every other weekend)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required as needed to Med/Surg/Telemetry units
- Chemotherapy administration and chest tube management performed on this unit
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Prior oncology nursing experience required
- Experience with chest tubes required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

- Facility is located approximately one hour from both Baltimore and Washington, DC, offering a suburban setting with access to urban amenities
