Position: Clinical Technician

Type: Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $21-23 hourly

Shifts:

  • NOC (10:30pm-7:00am)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Care: Support patients struggling with addiction and mental health disorders through daily activities and programming, appointments, and crisis intervention.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct regular physical checks on all patients within care (a.k.a. “rounds”).
  • Intakes & Discharges: Play a leading role in patient intakes and discharges from the treatment facility, ensuring all clients feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Medication Observation: Monitor and document client self-administration of medications in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures.
  • Group Facilitation: Participate in and facilitate applicable group sessions (e.g. life skills, art therapy, outings, etc.).
  • Documentation: Take all required notes in the company's electronic medical record system (KIPU).


Qualifications:

  • License/Credentials: RADT, SUDRC, or RAC (required)
  • Candidates with EMT/CMA/CNA who are willing to get their RADT/SUDRC/RAC are encouraged to apply.
  • These registrations require only a 9-hour online course and proof of enrollment is sufficient to start. RADT (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician) is offered through CCAPP. SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) is offered through CADTP. RAC (Registered Addiction Counselor) is offered through CAADE.
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Experience: 1+ years of behavioral healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Additional: Valid CA Driver's License, Current Health Screen / Physical, TB Test Clearance, Current CPR/First Aid certificate, background check (required)
