Construction Management Representative

Job Title: Construction Management Representative (CMR)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Construction Management Representative (CMR) to provide Quality Assurance (QA) and technical support for a high-priority pavement improvement project at Acadia National Park. This role involves overseeing the repaving of five miles of the historic Park Loop Road, including parking areas and associated stone masonry restoration. The CMR will serve as the primary on-site observer to ensure construction conforms to contract requirements while minimizing disruptions to park operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure workmanship and materials comply with contract plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports, maintain deficiency tracking lists, and capture digital photographs of work progress.
• Review contractor submittals, track Requests for Information (RFIs), and assist the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) with drafting correspondence and cost estimates.
• Prepare agendas for and participate in weekly progress meetings to coordinate upcoming activities and resolve project issues.
• Monitor on-site safety for adherence to OSHA regulations and the approved Safety Plan.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of paving practices (milling, HMA overlay) and historic stone masonry restoration (cleaning, repointing, and dry-laid construction)
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety training
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) and project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
