Interim Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established global manufacturing organization to identify an Interim Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant for an immediate need. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly step into a critical role supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting activities.

This role will oversee one accounting team member but is primarily focused on executing and supporting key accounting functions rather than managing a large team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Supervise one Accounting Specialist
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and related deliverables
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Support internal control and compliance initiatives
• Assist with capital expenditure documentation and approvals
• Partner with operations and other departments on special projects and process improvements
• Help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• CPA is a plus but not required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong month-end close experience, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Experience supporting AP and AR functions
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of internal controls and audit support processes is a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• ERP experience required

The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of stepping into an established environment with minimal ramp-up time. Candidates with a solid foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close who are comfortable supporting both strategic and transactional accounting functions will be highly successful.
