Description

As a Distribution Dock Lead you will provide first-line leadership to a team of distribution employees, ensuring efficient and safe day-to-day warehouse operations across areas such as unloading, picking, putaway, loading, and storage.

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

  • Leading day-to-day dock and warehouse operations
  • Assigning work and supervising associates
  • Supporting SQDC targets
  • Monitoring and adjusting trailer and product flow
  • Identifying bottlenecks and defining priorities
  • Ensuring safety compliance
  • Driving Lean and 5S initiatives
  • Partnering with Distribution Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or Business Administration is preferred
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight, logistics environment or manufacturing related.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for data tracking).
  • Forklift certification and the ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as stand-up/sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jack
  • A solid understanding of OSHA standards and safe freight-handling practices
  • Strong critical thinking under pressure to resolve delayed shipments and manage fast-paced, time-sensitive dock environments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and repport to upper management (English/Spanish)
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Preferred 1-3 years of hands-on experience in dock operations, with a proven track record of managing loading and unloading workflows
