Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment, or an Associate degree or higher
- Valid paraprofessional certification
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Experience supporting students in classroom or special education settings a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with instructional preparation and classroom management
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with varying needs
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
- Support students during classroom, lunch, and recess activities
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Document student progress and communicate updates to teaching staff
- Adapt quickly and respond to dynamic classroom needs
