Job Description
Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Elkhart, IN 46516
Salary: $27 - $35/hour DOE
Founded in 1971, we specialize in manufacturing custom extruded plastic and rubber components for a wide range of industrial applications. Our Elkhart, Indiana, facility, opened in 2015, supports Midwest and East Coast customers with high-quality extrusion manufacturing, modern production capabilities, and reduced lead times. As we continue to grow, our facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, and mechanical production and facility equipment in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals; maintain accurate records in CMMS
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams while maintaining compliance and a safe, organized work environment
What You Need for This Position
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience in plastics, rubber, extrusion, or roll forming manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including motors, drives, conveyors, and gearboxes; PLC troubleshooting preferred
- Ability to read technical documentation and schematics; proficient with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and CMMS systems
