Unit:  X-Ray Tech
Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362
Shift: Day  (08:30 - 17:00)
Shift Length: 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

 

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist (General Radiographer) with at least 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general radiography and have hands-on experience supporting Operating Room (OR) procedures and Fluoroscopy examinations. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating effectively with radiologists, physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

 

Documents Required:
  • ARRT R, WA License
  • BLS Certified through AHA
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.
  • Assist physicians and surgeons during Operating Room (OR) and fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with radiation safety and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and healthcare teams to provide timely and effective patient care.
Skills:
  • Proficient in general radiography, fluoroscopy, and Operating Room (OR) imaging procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles, patient positioning, and image quality standards.
  • Skilled in operating and troubleshooting digital radiographic equipment and imaging systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced acute care environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
