We are seeking an experienced Mobile Tire Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing on-site tire service, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance for commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. Key Responsibilities- Inspect commercial truck and trailer tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
- Remove, repair, replace, and install tires on commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
- Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and roadside tire service as needed.
- Repair tire punctures and evaluate tire condition for continued serviceability.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on trailers and related equipment.
- Perform basic trailer repairs including brakes, air systems, lighting systems, suspension components, axles, and landing gear.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck.
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT-related service standards.
- Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service work.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial truck and trailer tire service experience.
- Experience performing tire repairs, replacements, mounting, and preventative maintenance.
- Working knowledge of trailer brake systems, air systems, lighting systems, and landing gear.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Experience working with farm equipment, RV trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment and related machinery.
- Mechanical experience beyond tire service.
