At USACS, Medical Directors collaborate closely with hospital administration, nursing leadership, Physicians, and APPs to drive quality outcomes while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability. Were seeking an Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead our team at Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, Virginia.

Practice Highlights:

  • ED Volume: 13,000
  • Brand-new 10-bed Emergency Department with three-room Fast Track
  • Primary Stroke Center with tele-neurology support and tPA capability
  • Epic EMR
  • Dedicated Emergency Department with direct access to a 128-slice CT scanner
  • Oversee Emergency Department operations in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration
  • Supervise Emergency Medicine clinicians in accordance with hospital bylaws and policies
  • Represent the Emergency Department within the hospital and local community
  • Prior leadership experience required

What your leadership role will look like:

As Medical Director, youll provide clinical and operational leadership for the Emergency Department while working closely with nursing leadership and hospital administration. Youll support and mentor Physicians and APPs, drive quality initiatives, oversee departmental operations, and help shape the future direction of the practice. Through USACS physician-owned model, you'll also have the opportunity to influence broader organizational decisions and help develop future physician leaders.

Since 1977, Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital has served the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula communities with high-quality, patient-centered care. The hospital offers acute care, long-term care, oncology services, physical therapy, behavioral health services, and stroke care in a convenient, community-focused setting. Additional features include a dedicated 10-bed psychiatric stabilization unit, high patient satisfaction scores, and advanced imaging capabilities, including a 128-slice CT scanner.
