Position: Cardiac Cath/EP Technologist\n

Location: Janesville, WI

\n

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with one to two weeknights of call and every fourth weekend.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Cardiac Cath/EP Technologist is responsible for supporting the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The primary duties include ensuring the integrity and safety of sterile supplies, preparing patients and equipment, and documenting procedural data.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

\n
• Verify package integrity and expiration dates for all sterile supplies.
\n
• Prepare patients and equipment while adhering to sterile techniques.
\n
• Ensure patient comfort by familiarizing them with necessary equipment and supplies.
\n
• Apply monitors and prepare access sites using sterile drapes.
\n
• Utilize sterile techniques when scrubbing into procedures to prevent infection.
\n
• Advocate for radiation safety, wearing personal radiation dosimeter and taking precautions to minimize exposure.
\n
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, ensuring compliance with established safety limits.
\n

\n\nQualifications\n

\n
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program (education verification required).
\n
• Current AART registration.
\n
• Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
\n
• Registered Cardiovascular Technologist.
\n
• Current BLS and ACLS Certifications.
\n

\n\nExperience\n

Minimum of less than 1 year of experience in a related field is required.

\n\nAdditional Information\n

Holiday coverage will be required. This position involves both regular and on-call responsibilities.
