Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) provides immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. They monitor vital signs, manage pain, and ensure a safe and smooth recovery following surgical procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- * Monitor patients’ vital signs and level of consciousness post-surgery
- * Assess airway, breathing, and circulation after anesthesia
- * Administer medications, including pain management and IV therapy
- * Identify and respond to post-anesthesia complications
- * Provide patient education for recovery and discharge
- * Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams
- * Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- * Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license of MT or compact.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
