• Low, consult driven daily volume, typically 2-3 new patients and 2-3 follow ups

Practice Setting

• Inpatient palliative care consultation service for adult patients
• Role includes supervision of palliative care NPs
• Coverage supports service growth

Schedule

• Onsite Monday through Friday coverage
• 8 hour shifts with a 9am start
• Minimum commitment of at least two weeks per month, with four weeks per month preferred for continuity
• No call responsibilities

Cases and Procedures

• Inpatient palliative care consultations
• Oversight and supervision of palliative care NP consult work

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Fellowship Trained
• Georgia medical license required, will consider candidates with an active IMLC LOQ, Open to IMLC Physicians

Credentialing

• Credentialing may be as quick as 2 to 3 weeks for clean files with temporary privileges
