Job TitleRemote Talent Booking Agent (1099 Contractor)
Job DescriptionThe Local Booking Agency is seeking an aggressive, well-networked, and results-driven Remote Talent Booking Agent to join our team as an Independent Contractor (1099). In this role, you will act as the vital link between our roster of talented artists and live entertainment venues, festivals, corporate clients, and promoters. Your primary focus will be generating outbound booking opportunities, negotiating performance contracts, and routing profitable live dates.
This position is built for an experienced sales closer, music industry networker, or independent agent who thrives on closing deals, enjoys complete schedule autonomy, and is passionate about keeping live music stages filled.
Why Apply?
- 100% Autonomy: Work from anywhere on your own schedule.
- Uncapped Commissions: Earn competitive percentages on every confirmed performance contract you close.
- Strong Roster Assets: Hit the ground running with access to established talent profiles, promotional electronic press kits (EPKs), and agency marketing materials.
- Outbound Gig Acquisition: Actively pitch the agency’s artist roster to music venues, festival talent buyers, corporate event planners, and college campus activities boards to secure paid performance bookings.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage fee negotiations, performance riders, technical requirements, and payment terms from initial inquiry to final execution.
- Roster Expansion Support: Selectively identify and onboard independent artists who are ready for professional representation and development tiers.
- Relationship Management: Establish and nurture long-term professional relationships with venue owners, promoters, and talent buyers across various regional markets.
- Pipeline Tracking: Maintain an organized, up-to-date tracking log of pending inquiries, active contract negotiations, and confirmed calendar dates.
- Sales & Booking Experience: 2+ years of outbound sales, talent booking, or live entertainment promotion experience. Experience working as a 1099 commission-only contractor is highly preferred.
- Industry Networks: A solid understanding of the live music ecosystem, including contract standards, routing basics, and promoter operations.
- Persuasive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to handle high-value deal negotiations over the phone and via email.
- Self-Motivated Execution: High organizational skills and personal accountability. As an independent contractor, you must be capable of generating your own outreach momentum without daily supervision.
- Basic Workspace Setup: Must provide your own reliable computer, high-speed internet, and smartphone setup.
This is a 1099 commission-based contractor position built for high-performing industry hustlers. Contractors earn a direct percentage of total contract values for all venue performance bookings closed, alongside bonuses for enrolling independent talent into upfront agency development bundles. Your earning potential is entirely uncapped and dictated by your volume of closed contracts.
