Our client seeks a Principal Software Engineer / Full Stack Engineer with deep Oracle SQL/PLSQL expertise and hands-on Exadata engineering experience to design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performing distributed systems. The role focuses on OLTP solutions, Oracle-centered data architecture, and application integration while driving engineering excellence, performance tuning, and mentoring across teams.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize OLTP solutions on Oracle and Exadata platforms that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Lead Oracle database engineering efforts with emphasis on Exadata optimization, scalability, reliability, and performance tuning.
- Build robust SQL/PLSQL services, data APIs, and batch frameworks supporting critical business workflows.
- Conduct application and database design reviews, code reviews, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Establish and promote best practices for database development, ATDD, CI/CD, automated testing, and production readiness.
- Partner with global teams to standardize software engineering and database performance management approaches.
- Drive product quality through test case development, regression testing, and automation to reduce manual effort.
- Proactively improve performance, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency across database and application layers.
- Mentor engineers on Oracle best practices, Exadata strategies, and full-stack engineering methods.
Experience Requirements:
- Deep expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including complex queries, packages, procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on Oracle Exadata engineering experience, including Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, Hybrid Columnar Compression, partitioning, and parallel query execution.
- Knowledge of Oracle architecture and administration concepts such as RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and AWR/ASH analysis.
- Experience in data analysis, data modeling, schema design, and high-performance data API implementation.
- Proven ability to diagnose and tune performance bottlenecks across SQL, PL/SQL, storage, and infrastructure layers.
- Experience with batch processing using ETL/Informatica, Autosys, or Oracle scheduling and data movement tools.
- Understanding of scalable, resilient, and maintainable application design principles.
- Experience with ATDD and automated tests for database and application code.
- Agile delivery experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to translate business storyboards and use cases into robust technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging across database and application tiers.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Plus: exposure to Snowflake, AWS S3, and hybrid data platforms.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
