Whatyou'lldo:
Work with a dynamic team of certified sleep physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellowpolysomnographersto diagnose and treat sleep and waking disorders
Summary:
The Polysomnography Technologist role is responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services or patient care and education.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care, electroencephalogram diagnostics or polysomnography CAAHP approved program preferred. Completion of college level basic principles of polysomnography course preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, or Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS or CRT-SDS) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: Three years of experience in Respiratory Care, with extensive experience in CPAP/BIPAP application preferred. Two years of sleep study experience preferred.
