Job Description
Job Title: Medical Physicist - Oncology
Contract Duration: 20 weeks with a high possibility of extension
Location: La Crosse, WI (ONSITE)
Working Hours: 6:30 am - 6:00 pm
Rate: $200/hr.
Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Certifications:
American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics or the American Board of Medical Physics equivalent in Radiation Therapy Physics
Required Education:
Master's, Doctorate or PhD
Minimum experience:
5+ years in specialty, Experience with Aria, Eclipse and Truebeam required
EMR: Epic preferred
Desired Specific Skillset for an ideal candidate:
Experience with Aria, Eclipse and Truebeam required
Unit Overview:
Collaborates with other senior staff to maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) program to comply with national standards, Evaluation and implementation of new technology and techniques, Maintains templates, checklists and therapy equipment in record and verify system, Provides radiation safety education to staff
Current Patient Ratio: Discuss with manager
Primary Case/Procedure Type: VMAT, SRS, SBRT, 3D planning,
GSA is not guaranteed orientation week. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
Billing: Monday - Sunday
8hr unbillable orientation
**candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hrs for a quick start
