Journey Carpenter - Residential Remodeling

We are seeking a highly skilled Journey Carpenter to join our residential remodeling team serving Marin County and surrounding areas. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a craftsman who takes pride in precision work, can confidently manage projects with minimal supervision, and is committed to delivering exceptional results and customer service. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Rough Carpentry: Framing walls, cutting roof rafters, and structural blocking.
• Exterior Carpentry: Installing windows, doors, siding, and custom exterior trim.
• Finish Carpentry: Exacting installation of interior casing, baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, and built-in cabinetry.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret complex architectural and structural plan sets.
• Jobsite Professionalism: Maintaining a pristine, safe, and organized job site while respecting occupied client homes.
• All-Around Remodeling: Performing light plumbing, electrical prep, drywall, and other miscellaneous tasks required to keep the project moving seamlessly.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years Journey experience in residential carpentry, with a focus on high-end remodeling.
• Complete set of carpentry tools and the proficiency to use them.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, problem-solving mindset.
• Reliable, work ready vehicle.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Light Electrical, Plumb, Drywall, and Paint.
• Supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with Concrete Form, Rebar, and Finish
• Familiarity with Tile, Luminant, Hardwood, and other floorings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
