Job Description
Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
TCH Industries, Inc. & Koehler Rubber (TCH Koehler LLC) | Cleveland, OH | Full-Time
Does this sound like you?
- Do you run a tight dock - where every inbound shipment is inspected, labeled, and put away correctly the first time, and every outbound order goes out with the right labels, right paperwork, and zero shortcuts?
- Are you the kind of person who knows exactly where everything is in a warehouse because you built the system that way - and you hold yourself and your workspace to that standard every day?
- Do you have a process-driven mindset that kicks in when a vendor ships the wrong count or a carrier tries to bill the wrong rate - and you know how to work through it in an ERP system without losing a step?
- Do you take ownership of your role without needing to be managed - showing up on time, working your shift, and leaving the dock cleaner and more organized than you found it?
If yes, we invite you to apply for the position of Shipping & Receiving Coordinator at TCH Industries.

About Us
TCH Industries has been a cornerstone in the industrial hose industry since 1983. We manufacture and distribute industrial, hydraulic, and metal hose assemblies and associated components serving customers across manufacturing, construction, automotive, aerospace, and beyond. We are a growing company - expanding through strategic acquisitions and adding capabilities at multiple locations in Northeast Ohio.
Koehler Rubber & Supply Co. (now operating as TCH Koehler LLC, dba Koehler Rubber) brings more than a century of expertise to our combined organization. Founded in 1917, Koehler Rubber has spent over 100 years supplying Ohio and the Midwest with specialty fluid application products. Their team includes certified specialists in hose and fitting assembly specification, lubrication system design, pumping and dispensing systems, spray finishing, and factory-authorized service and repair.
Together, TCH Industries and Koehler Rubber represent more than 140 combined years of industry expertise operating from a consolidated location in Cleveland. The shipping and receiving function is the backbone of our daily operations - every order that goes out and every delivery that comes in runs through this role.
The Role
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator owns all inbound and outbound freight functions for our Cleveland facility. You will manage the full lifecycle of every shipment - from unloading and inspecting vendor deliveries to final inspection and confirmation of outbound orders - and keep our inventory locations accurate and organized in TrulinX ERP.
This is a process-driven, detail-critical role that requires someone who can work independently, make sound freight decisions, and hold a high standard without being prompted. If you thrive on structure, take pride in running a clean and accurate dock, and want a role where your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency - this is it.
What You'll Do
- Execute all inbound receiving functions: unload, inspect, label, and put away vendor deliveries; scan packing lists for reconciliation; process returns and address nonconformance or count discrepancies in TrulinX ERP
- Execute all outbound shipping functions: perform final inspection and shipment confirmation of finished products for all pick tickets regardless of shipping method (parcel, LTL, FTL); verify labels and paperwork are correct the first time, every time
- Optimize freight costs by selecting the appropriate carrier and service level based on transit time, weight, and dimensions
- Confirm deliveries and set up outbound shipments across all carrier types; maintain strong working knowledge of carrier portals and requirements
- Manage consumable materials including skids and corrugated packaging - ordering, compacting, recycling, and waste disposal
- Execute stock transfers
- Actively maintain bin location integrity - everything has a place, and that place is always current and accurate in the warehouse management system
- Assist at the will call counter in our onsite retail store as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Forklift certification required - active certification preferred; we can facilitate recertification for the right candidate
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Prior ERP system experience required - you should understand how to execute receiving, shipping, inventory, and return procedures in an ERP; we will train you specifically on TrulinX
- Strong organizational skills and a process-driven approach - you build systems and you follow them
- Ability to optimize freight decisions based on cost, transit time, and shipment specs
- Reliable attendance - this role is on-site and your presence drives daily operations
- Must be available to work on-site in Cleveland, OH: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly; comfortable working in a physical warehouse environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM - on-site at our Cleveland, OH facility
- Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience
- Overtime opportunities available
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Health savings account (HSA)
- 401(k) with retirement plan
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Parental leave
- Overtime opportunities
- Career advancement and growth opportunities across our expanding branch network
If you are a dependable, detail-oriented warehouse professional who takes ownership of the dock and runs it right - and you want to be part of a growing industrial company with deep roots in Northeast Ohio - we encourage you to apply.
