The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to help drive our people strategy across the organization. In this influential role, you will partner closely with leaders and employees in a variety of technical, administrative, operational, and support functions to champion key initiatives that support our mission.
As an HRBP, you will be both a trusted advisor and a change leader-helping teams navigate growth, transformation, and everyday challenges. You will provide guidance on employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, communication, and organizational effectiveness. Your work will directly support critical HR programs such as succession planning, performance management, and leadership coaching.You will also play an important role in shaping the employee experience through the development and enhancement of HR policies, processes, and best practices. With assigned business areas, you will own the full portfolio of HR responsibilities, enabling leaders to make informed, people?focused decisions.

- HR Generalist or Business Partner working experience within an engineering or operations department
- SHRM certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Resources Management
- Policy interpretation knowledge and/or experience
- Experience using HRIT systems and AI to simplify work
- Experience working effectively within a team environment, including leading, fostering team development and collaboration across organizational and geographic boundaries
- Experience quickly adapting to changing business needs
- Experience analyzing and simplifying HR processes
- Knowledge of Federal employment and labor laws

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
