This correctional facility provides primary care services to adult patients in a secure clinical environment approximately 30 minutes from Richmond, Virginia. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Clinicians are expected to deliver professional and accurate care within the framework of correctional healthcare.

The area surrounding Richmond, Virginia offers a range of attractions, including kayaking and rafting on the James River, Maymont, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and the Virginia State Capitol. History museums, walking tours, and notable architecture at sites such as Old City Hall provide additional options for exploration. Weekend travel to Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Virginia Beach is accessible within a few hours.

The clinician will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing approximately 18-20 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. No call coverage is required for this position. Required credentials include a Virginia license, DEA registration, board certification, and prescriptive authority.
