Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities await dedicated Special Education professionals for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year! Four positions are available supporting students across resource rooms and a specialized mental health/behavior self-contained program. Located near Exeter, NH, these contract opportunities offer fulfilling work at the middle school level, making a positive impact on students’ growth and well-being.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience in resource room instruction, grade level support, or behavioral/mental health programs a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs in either resource rooms or a self-contained behavioral program
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school counselors, and families on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Develop lesson plans and interventions tailored to student abilities and progress
  • Monitor student performance, behavior, and progress toward IEP goals
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment
  • Keep thorough records, attend staff meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development

You’ll work 32.5–35 hours per week within a structured school schedule (7:30 AM – 2:20 PM, Monday through Friday) for the full academic year, September 1, 2026 through June 16, 2027.
