Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repairs for a global leader in air-care and fragrance manufacturing. Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues is highly valued to support high-quality production. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair or maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on production equipment, including injection molding machines.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with the team to support the production of quality products by keeping equipment in optimal condition.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar mechanical role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair.
- Knowledgeable in troubleshooting issues on production equipment, specifically injection molding machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to work while standing for an entire shift and performing physical tasks like climbing ladders, bending, and crawling.
- Experience with plastic injection molding processes or basic electrical knowledge is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
