We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a contract position based in Paterson, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, handling incoming calls efficiently, and keeping the reception area organized. The schedule for this assignment is 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break, and the position requires at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, assist with front desk inquiries, and provide a positive first impression for the office.
• Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system while maintaining accuracy and courtesy.
• Manage routine reception coverage during scheduled business hours and ensure the front desk remains attended.
• Receive, relay, and document messages clearly for staff members and departments as needed.
• Maintain an orderly reception area and support basic administrative tasks related to daily office operations.
• Coordinate with internal team members to route visitors, calls, and general inquiries to the appropriate contacts.• At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or similar customer-facing administrative role.
• Ability to operate a switchboard or multi-line phone system handling 1 to 10 lines.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous, detail-oriented demeanor.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a one-hour lunch.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
• Basic administrative and office support skills in an office environment.
