Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Job Description
This role provides direct clinical support in a busy oncology clinic by rooming patients, recording vital information, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. The Certified Medical Assistant ensures efficient clinic flow by collaborating closely with providers and staff, preparing exam rooms and charts, and supporting in-office procedures. This position focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture with strong opportunities for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Room 20–30 patients per day, ensuring each patient is greeted professionally and guided efficiently through the visit.
- Record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, and other relevant measurements.
- Document allergies, medication changes, and other pertinent clinical information accurately and promptly.
- Update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems, including medical history, family history, chief complaint, and other required fields.
- Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for patient visits.
- Monitor supply levels and order clinical supplies as needed to maintain fully stocked exam and treatment rooms.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Current national certification as a Medical Assistant (Certification required).
- Demonstrated ability to room 20–30 patients per day while maintaining accuracy and quality of care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an oncology clinic or similar specialty environment.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in an oncology clinic environment with a steady daily volume of 20–30 patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, typically from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or until the last patient is seen, with no weekend shifts.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
